David Garrett's debut album with Beethoven's Spring Sonata was released in October 1995 and he recorded it in November 1993 at the age of an incredible 13 in the beautiful library hall of Polling Monastery. The Spring Sonata is one of the most popular works of the classical repertoire. J.S. Bach's D-minor Partita and Mozart's Adagio KV 261 are also on the programme: "This young violinist must be called at least 'a phenomenon'", enthuses music critic Wolf-Eberhard von Lewinski, "I am looking forward to the upcoming Mozart concert recording with Abbado", writes Gramophone's reviewer
